Near Miss Reporting

Ladies and Gentlemen, Stratford on Avon Golf Club operates a positive approach to Health and Safety matters, across the whole of our premises.

We do, as would be expected, record all actual accidents resulting in injury in our records.

In addition to the above, we are required to record any incident that may have caused injury, under slightly different circumstances, such events are known as a 'Near Miss'

By way of explanation a 'Near Miss' can be described as:

• An event not causing harm, but has the potential to cause injury or ill health.
• A set of conditions, or circumstances , that have the potential to cause injury, or ill health.
• A dangerous occurance that could cause a 'reportable event', but on this occasion did not.
