Simon Dennis – Club Manager

Simon joined Stratford-on-Avon Golf Club as Club Manager in 2022.

Simon has a successful track record in running sports and leisure facilities and has full responsibility for the day to day management of the Club for the benefit of the members, guests and visitors and will be the key link between the board and the day to day operations of the club to meet the vision and deliver against the strategic goals.

Simon is a proactive communicator who embraces best practice and leads by example and will lead, motivate and manage the heads of department and their teams to create a friendly, warm and welcoming environment that delivers a consistently high level of service across all departments, with a sustained commitment to total quality and continuous development to enhance member and visitor satisfaction.  

Simon's strong and proactive work ethic, coupled with proven managerial, leadership, administration, communication, organisational and planning skills, underpinned by clearly defined roles and responsibilities, objectives and goals will help conjure a happy proactive working environment enabling the team to collectively deliver sustainable results for the benefit of the membership.

Simon's first-hand experience of managing a successful Club in the current economic climate has given him an appreciation of golf and its traditions within the ethos of a private members club and will be an asset to Stratford-on-Avon Golf Club.

Liz Deacon - Events

Liz joined the team in July 2023.    She will be happy to help you with any enquiries regarding holding an event or bringing your Golf Society to our club. 

Carol Baker – Administrator/Cashier

Carol joined the team in May 2014.   Her role is to help the members with their queries and assist the Club Manager in his role.

Shirley Hughes - Clubhouse Bar

Shirley Hughes and her team are always ready to welcome you with a smile to the bar following your game. We have a wide selection to offer with our extensive wine list, draught lagers and ales.
